"Outside Mullingar" is a play laced with misgivings and disappointments and the specter of death. And if San Diego Rep's production of the John Patrick Shanleypiece doesn't make you laugh out loud with joy and surprise, you might want to check and be sure the Reaper hasn't already rung your own bell.
