“Saturday Night Live" has dominated sketch comedy on network TV for the past 40 years, brushing off all upstarts who tried to make a go of it. Of all those would-be rivals, Fox's "MADtv" had the healthiest lifespan " 14 years " and on a good night really gave "SNL" a run for its money....
