Performances began Oct. 31 at Second Stage Theatre for the Diane Paulus-helmed new musical Invisible Thread, which blends African beats and a world pop score. The story follows a New Yorker's life-changing trip to Uganda and is inspired by the real-life experiences of Griffin Matthews, who co-created the show with Matt Gould.
