What every great soprano needs most is infrastructure. No Brünnhilde hits her high notes without the serious support system that got her up there: the vocal coaches and wigmakers; the caterers, costumers and set builders; and the person who cleans the shower she desperately needs after all of the torture Wagner puts her through onstage.
