newMoves Contemporary Dance Festival continues to inspire Pittsburgh arts scene
In 2009, the Kelly Strayhorn Theater's executive director Janera Solomon began newMoves Contemporary Dance Festival. It's a massive undertaking, with an array of workshops and panel discussions, and a real gift not only to Pittsburgh's dance community, but also to the arts community-at-large.
