Author, essayist and UConn professor William Jelani Cobb will speak at a free Salon at Stowe event on Thursday, April 30, at 5 p.m. at the Harriet Beecher Stowe Center, 77 Forest St., Hartford. The Center's executive director, Katherine Kane, will be the moderator.
