ArtsBeat: Flea Theater Names Niegel Smith as Next Artistic Director by Michael Paulson

Mr. Smith, a 35-year-old North Carolina native, will succeed Jim Simpson, who helped found the organization in 1996 and is stepping down. Mr. Smith was an associate director of "Fela!" and an assistant director of "Caroline, or Change."
