Classic reboots 'Smash' out of their molds
Two of Nintendo's biggest new releases recast familiar games in unusual ways. "Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS" makes Nintendo's cartoonish fighting game portable for the first time, while "Hyrule Warriors" infuses the characters and settings of the "Legend of Zelda" with a new type of play. Only one is completely successful, but it's still welcome to see the recently staid Nintendo experiment a bit.
