Bryan Cranston, Audra McDonald early Tony Award winners by Patricia Reaney

NEW YORK - Bryan Cranston captured the prize for best actor in a play on Sunday at the 68th annual Tony Awards, Broadway's top honors, and actress Audra McDonald made history, winning her sixth Tony as Billie Holiday in "Lady Day at Emerson's Bar & Grill."
