For Actress, Film Can't Compare to the Stage
Greta Gerwig makes her off-Broadway debut on Tuesday in "The Village Bike." She appears in every scene as tormented, pregnant Becky. The experience drains her physically and emotionally. And yet, the daily process of integrating new lines and staging for each evening's preview had been the most fun she's ever had: "There's no equivalent in film. It's so addicting."
