Drama Desk Awards to off-Broadway: Drop dead
Off and off-off-Broadway productions accounted for 41% of the nominees (68/165) at the Drama Desk Awards but were completely shut out of the 27 awards bestowed on plays and musicals. This wholesale snubbing is nothing new at these kudos that boast of being the only ones to fete productions both on the rialto and elsewhere in the city.
