Bridge House Theatre, London: Limited in size if not ambition, this compelling adaptation of Macbeth by director Guy Retallack strips the text down to its bare bones and reduces the cast to six performers. Themes of brutality and ambition that dominate the story are condensed rather than diluted and, despite a simplistic, occasionally clunky design, this remains a powerful tragedy. Read the full review
