Broadway Review: BEAUTIFUL: THE CAROLE KING MUSICAL An Evening of Beautiful Musical Memories by Andrew C. McGibbon

Written by: Andrew C. McGibbonBeautiful: The Carole King Musical follows a formula that we have seen used before.  It was used to tell the story of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons in Jersey Boys.  Happily, the formula works here as it did in Jersey Boys.  The secret?  The music and lyrics are perfectly laid into a humorous and compact script by Douglas McGrath.
