Q: You seem to have a penchant for tackling big classics, albeit in new ways. Why is that? A: Hmm. There's not a clever answer for this. Those were the plays I read and wanted to do. It became a bit of a trend, but I think it's just coincidence. I guess I respond to American plays of the mid-20th century. They're the plays I was raised on, so they're what plays are to me.
