Columbia Records Joins NBC's "Smash" for Soundtracks of New Musical Series by Michael Gioia

Columbia Records has nabbed the rights to release soundtracks to NBC's new musical drama series "Smash." Additionally, Columbia has also signed a deal with former "American Idol" contestant and "Smash" star Katharine McPhee for a solo recording deal, according to Deadline.com.
