Richard Jay-Alexander, who will direct "Les Misérables" this summer at the Muny, has come up with a distinctive approach to casting the production. A couple of musical theater heavyweights, Hugh Panaro and Norm Lewis, will costar as the reformed thief Jean Valjean and his nemesis, the unrelenting Inspector Javert.
