Coliseum, London: The abrupt departure of Sergei Polunin and Igor Zelensky from the production days before it was due to open hangs heavy over the gala night, given in aid of the Dancer for Cancer Trust. But it allows Polunin's 20 year-old understudy Christensen to step into the role of Billy Hayes, whose horrific story of life in a Turkish gaol is well known from Alan Parker's film.
