'Kinky Boots' director wins 'Mr. Abbott' award by Chris Jones

Jerry Mitchell, currently in Chicago directing the out-of-town tryout of the musical "Kinky Boots," is the winner of the 2013 "Mr. Abbott Award," an honor named after the late George Abbott and dispensed in honor of Mitchell's 30-year career, mostly as a choreographer.
