Harvey Pekar desk and sculpture tribute: Whatever happened to ...?
The desk and sculpture will be installed at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 14, at the library on Lee Road where Pekar spent so much of his time reading and writing. Officials had hoped to unveil the statue on Pekar's Birthday, Oct. 8, but decided against it since it falls on a Monday around three Jewish holidays. That Monday also is Columbus Day.
