"The Amish Project," the one-woman show that opened Friday at City Theatre, deals with one of the most horrifying events in Pennsylvania history: the 2006 shooting of 10 Amish schoolgirls by a local milkman who then shot himself. Five girls died, and the Amish community in Nickel Mines, Lancaster County, surprised many by extending forgiveness toward the gunman and his family.
