Letter: Nothing 'extra' about extras
In answer to anon (page 9, May 24) who complained about TV snobbery over casting extras, sadly nothing changes. In the 1970s Equity tried hard to persuade broadcasters to delete the term 'extra', on the grounds that in front of camera one is not 'extra' but part of the programme.
