Legend produces DC Jazz Festival

As a kid in Brooklyn, Charles Fishman wanted to be a Dodger when he grew up - a Brooklyn Dodger, of course. The call of the diamond, ball and glove distracted him from his piano studies, much to the chagrin of his teacher, who ultimately solved the problem by introducing him to jazz. "I fell in love with it," he said. And he hasn't been the same since.
