Film chronicles Muslim rescue of Jews in wartime Paris

Moroccan born Ismael Ferroukhi was inspired to co-write and direct Free Men after reading how the Grand Mosque of Paris was a hiding place for members of the French Resistance and North African Jews. The director made a riveting, Casablanca-like tale while reliving Nazi-occupied Paris in 1942.
