"Smash" Gets a New Showrunner By Way of "Gossip Girl"
Josh Safran, an executive producer at CW's "Gossip Girl," will succeed Theresa Rebeck as "showrunner" — the person in charge of all aspects of story — for NBC's "Smash," according to published reports.
