The Gershwins' Porgy and Bess by Robert Walport

I've always been of the opinion that a director can do what they like with a composer/writer's piece as long as the end result works (if it doesn't work however, then prepare for critical knives). If you want to cut Wagner that's fine by me (Good luck...) and Diana Paulus snipping "Porgy and Bess" is hardly sacrilege.
