Well, you can find an excellent illustration of it this summer at the Stratford Shakespeare Festival, where those two meritorious actors, Deborah Hay and Ben Carlson, will be playing Beatrice and Benedick in Shakespeare's Much Ado About Nothing from Apr. 26 through Oct. 27.
