Lyric, Hammersmith: Interpreting Julia Donaldson's story about a snail that hitches a lift on a whale's tail as a story within a story about a little girl (Rhiannon Wallace) who makes up stories in her bedroom with her dad (Martyn Dempsey) is an inspired idea. And the result is an exquisite piece of theatre with plenty of lyricism. Read the full review
