Grange Arts Centre, Oldham: As the sun began to sink on the 1970s, Robin Herford was touring with Alan Ayckbourn's latest play, Taking Steps. One of the venues was the Grange, which by a curious coincidence he now finds himself at again, as it forms Oldham Coliseum's temporary home while refurbishments are taking place.
