Obituary: Colin Tarrant
As the stern disciplinarian Inspector Monroe in ITV's long-running The Bill, Colin Tarrant was a familiar television face for more than a decade, appearing in nearly 600 episodes of the police soap before meeting his end in a fire in 2002.
