Molly Smith Metzler's Close Up Space, a new comedy starring Tony Award winner David Hyde Pierce as a harried book editor, opens Dec. 19 following previews from Dec. 1 at Manhattan Theatre Club's home at New York City Center Stage I. The title is a proof-reading term when you want to get rid of a space between two words.
