NY Drama Critics' Circle Announces Winner
The New York Drama Critics’ Circle announced the winners of its 2001 Awards. Tom Stoppard’s The Invention of Love was named Best Play, Mel Brooks and Thomas Meehan’s The Producers was named Best Musical and David Auburn’s Proof was named Best American Play by the organization.
