A Crank of Critics

Creatures kept in dark enclosed spaces develop all sorts of compensatory skills. Bats learn to find things in the dark with echolocation. Fish in caves lose their eyes and interpret the world through minute changes in pressure. Theatre critics, however, just get cranky.
