The story of the Caversham Press, a printmaking studio in South Africa’s KwaZulu-Natal province, in many ways traces the recent history of that nation. Malcolm and Rosmund Christian founded Caversham in a former Methodist church in a rural setting in 1985 — a violent year in South Africa, when the government’s apartheid policies were coming under increasing pressure.
