Recordings breathe new life into two failed musicals By Richard Dyer

Kurt Weill's "The Firebrand of Florence" was a Broadway flop in 1945, closing after 43 performances. Stephen Sondheim's "Bounce" (2003) played only Chicago and Washington, D.C.; it has never reached Broadway at all.<br />
