Susan Stroman's evening-length ballet "Double Feature," which New York City Ballet unveiled on Friday, is supposed to be High Art. Never mind the pointe shoes. You can tell this elaborate, two-part spectacle is more than mindless, popular entertainment because the choreographer, a major figure on Broadway, expects the audience to read.
