Harsh judgment mars absorbing look at '50s showbiz icons by Ed Siegel
Tonight's "American Masters" look at the intersecting lives of playwright Arthur Miller and director Elia Kazan twins one very smart idea with an equally stupid one. The resulting documentary doesn't cancel itself out so much as leave a bad taste instead of a savory one.
