American Idol apology for Steven Tyler comment was a joke
It appears to have been a joke, given that American Idol producer Nigel Lythgoe tweeted, "Wow, there is a huge lack of humor out there!! Hey you guys, don't take things too seriously, especially my shows. Smile or 'Go **** a duck'" when fans questioned whether the apology was sincere or not.
