Hellman's 'Little Foxes': Waiting for the Fur to Fly by Chip Crews

Lillian Hellman's tightly plotted 1939 melodrama is an unaccustomed pleasure in our ambiguous age, more enjoyable than any number of "greater" works. Think of it as a spin in a big, plush touring car of the same vintage -- and with the skillful director Doug Hughes behind the wheel, it takes you where it's going.
