San Francisco Chronicle: ACT yanks 'Harvey' from next season's bill by Robert Hurwitt

The rights to Mary Chase's ever-popular comedy about the fantasy life of Elwood P. Dowd -- a mainstay of community theaters across the country -- have been withdrawn because of "a planned remake by a major motion picture studio," ACT announced today.
