Remembering a local-born conductor who 'didn't sell out' By David Patrick Stearns

John McGlinn, "connoisseur of all things yummy," was eulogized, wept over, and lightly roasted at a memorial service for the conductor, who grew up in Philadelphia's suburbs, became a key figure in the restoration of great Broadway shows to their original form, and never looked back - literally.
