Reporting frankly on the knee-high playlets in Series A of J.J. Kandel and John McCormack's two-part Summer Shorts festival feels perilously close to bullying; you shouldn't pick on the little guy. Most of the pieces aren't ready for the critical cudgel, while others are too slight to unpack.
