Womb Congestion Inspires Comedy by MacArthur 'Genius'<br> Review by Stephen West
The play works as long as it's milking Ruhl's one-liners for laughs. It gets into dubious territory in the second act, when the tone becomes more serious and characters change in implausible ways. By the end, we've entered a place far removed from reality.
