Oh, dear. Claire Danes is a willowy, attractive, intelligent young actress, who, beginning with her TV breakthrough as the teen heroine of "My So-Called Life," has made self-challenging career decisions. But she has done herself no favors by making her stage debut as Eliza Doolittle - beloved heroine of George Bernard Shaw's 1913 "Pygmalion" and, 46 years later, the basis for "My Fair Lady."
