Julia Dorn Heflin, 96, who died of respiratory failure Aug. 20 at the Washington Home hospice, in her long lifetime staged a play on the streets of Moscow, taught drama with the patriarch of method acting, Lee Strasberg, and led the Mount Vernon College drama department for 22 years.
