On January 14 of this year, the big brother to dozens of ballet luminaries in the United States would have celebrated his hundredth birthday. To commemorate the occasion, the Gerald Arpino Foundation"keeper of Arpino's extensive repertoire"has organized two evenings of short works and excerpts at the Auditorium Theatre on September 23 and 24, performed by seven of the top ballet companies in the country.
