On Aug. 10, we will observe the annual Night of the Murdered Poets, remembering the Soviet Yiddish writers, artists, journalists, and scientists murdered by Stalin. Acclaimed Yiddish performing artist Yelena Shmulenson will present a new theater piece examining the Soviet government's repression of Yiddish culture.
