Set at the time of the 1929 Wall Street crash and its aftermath, it's a bizarre farcical satire without a shred of wit, an ounce of creative inspiration, or a single hummable tune. An inedible goulash of poor writing and production, it also runs well beyond the two hours and 10 minutes (including a 15-minute intermission) mentioned on its program sheet, which only thickens the radioactive fallout.
