New Haven artist Winfred Rembert awarded Pulitzer posthumously for his memoir of living through the Jim Crow South by Christopher Arnott

Winfred Rembert, a Southern artist who spent the last several decades of his live in New Haven, won the 2022 Pulitzer Prize in Biography for his posthumously published memoir.
