A LA CARTER: Wine flows in a night at the opera by Sylvia Carter
The Frank Loesser musical, which was chosen partly for its interesting mix of quasi-operatic arias and Broadway-style numbers, was the inspiration for an opening gala for 700, held last night at Lincoln Center, at which well-heeled opera lovers were bringing wines from their own collections.
