Scanning the room at Midtown's Ripley-Grier Studios, the 22 actors sitting in a semicircle appeared young -- in their late teens to early 20s. Each had paid $800 and come from as far as Fairbanks, Alaska, to join a "summer retreat" offered by Moveable Arts, a new nonprofit organization.
